The journal pictured here is made from bamboo with simple hinge rings. In your choice of size - A5 or A4 - and with or without paper (for those who have their own favourite type of writing paper!) - personalised by permanent laser engraving.
These are quite durable and will last you for quite a while!
We make these from your choice of two wood materials:
We then laser engrave the boards to add the details. The laser engraving process gives this a deep, dark appearance. The result is then sanded and finished with a high quality matte furniture oil.
Because of the natural nature of wood, the grain appearance and engraving darkness will vary. We try to keep it as dark as we can, but in some cases (especially on bamboo) it can vary.
The paper and the folder is then bound with two hinge rings. This allows easily replacing the internal paper in the future, once you use all the pages.
The A5 journal is 153mm x 220mm - slightly bigger than A5 paper. The A4 version is 215mm x 307mm, again slightly larger than A4 paper.
We can supply these with or without paper, for those of you who have their own preferences in writing paper. We supply 50 pages of paper in a journal.
If we do supply the paper, we use a Versa Felt 118gsm Brilliant White paper. It has a lovely slight texture and is a delight to write on with inky pens.
We will use the layout shown in the photo with your choice of names or wording. We can add extra wording; just let us know in the notes. We can also use different fonts as well - you can choose them in the preview above. We're happy to adjust to your liking! We will confirm artwork with you before we make your journal.
These are sent with free tracked shipping Australia Wide. At most they take a week to produce, but in most cases they will be in the post in two business days.
